The large windows bring daylight beaming into the apartment and through which you can simply amble out to the private dining patio. The galley style kitchen is well equipped with a breakfast bar dividing the living space and is complemented by a selection of appliances and utensil, perfect for any budding holiday chef!
At the rear of the apartment the sleeping accommodation includes a comfortable king size master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, including bath tun and overhead shower. First time ever going it alone for holiday booking; apprehensive couple of pensioners, travelling abroad for the first time in five years .
Rachel and her team were superb from the outset, quickly responding to pre-boking queries and organizing airport pick, early check-in etc. very pleasant, easy to deal with and good contact throughout an efficient process; most reassuring. During our stay they kept in touch with advice and guidance all the way. The apartment was excellent, spotless, bright, spacious, beautifully presented and equipped to a v high standard. The modern fitted kitchen provided the opportunity to cook, if desired, with 'new' appliances complimented by an extensive range of cookware, crockery and utensils. After a day out and about, we returned from dinner in one of many fabulous restaurants nearby and relaxed with movies and entertainment on ''Amazon Prime'' or ''Netflix''; an unexpected bonus. Location is most convenient for easy access to the main attractions and to the market, shops, restaurants, beach ferry. Easy walk along the river, around the town and to the bus or train station to explore further afield. Check out was great with a call the day before from Rachel confirming all the arrangements. Highly recommend the Mar Azul apartment and Smartavillas and hope to book again soon. Thank you all. R&R |

The apartment was big, clean and had everything we needed and was right in the middle of the town, a few minutes walk to all the attractions ie; Ferry to beach, Roman bridge, Camara Obscurer and Castle and not least , the Black Anchor ( Irish pub ) . The points that really stood out for us are the following, English speaking taxi at airport, trip roughly 30 minutes to apartment Phone call before end of holiday confirming we had a taxi to airport Cleaning gear in apartment to get us started, ( wipes , bin bags etc ) Confidence to ring if there was a problem, knowing it would be dealt with in a professional way, in other words, peace of mind. This apartment is surprising in terms of layout, perfect kitchen, perfect bedroom, bathroom and spacious living room. Very centrally located, near the ferry and the center. Tavira is super cozy with many delicious restaurants and beautiful beaches.

Apartment Margaret’s was absolutely perfect for a stay in Tavira. The apartment is open plan and the living area very spacious and bright. There is also the lovely roof terrace and pool if you are planning on spending time in the complex which is small, well kept and was very quiet in mid-September. The only drawback to the location for some may be the number of steps up to the complex when walking from the town but for me it was only 8mins from the Roman Bridge and very doable. If you want grocery shopping you will need a car or a taxi as there are no shops nearby. I would definitely recommend this apartment for a stay in Tavira.

The apartment is clean and bright with everything you need for a relaxing break. The roof terrace is amazing with lots of space to eat and relax. We spent every evening on the roof when it was cooler. The pool was perfect for the kids to play in although we spend most days at the beach which you can reach via a ferry or water taxis from the old town. There are lots of steps to the old town and it takes about 15 mins but we enjoyed the walk to dinner. We would highly recommend this place and would be happily returning back.

Amenities for the first day of our arrival were well appreciated. Jorge the ""pool guy"" informed us that , due to an electric problem, with the water management it was best to switch over to mineral water. Which in Portugal is no problem.
