COSTA ESURI

Overview

Costa Esuri Golf Club is part of the Costa Esuri Golf Resort, located in Ayamonte, in the heart of the Spanish Algarve. The two 18-hole courses with their privileged location on the bank of the Guadiana River, the fantastic views to Portugal and to the mouth of the river make them a worthwhile visit. The West Course is long with over 7300 yards of American style features; very wide fairways, exquisite shaping of the greens and is more suitable for the amateur player, with an easy game designed to make the most the attractive surroundings and a well-balanced round. The Eastern Course of a further 18 holes is also quite long at 6900 yards, has seven lakes and is integrated in the slope towards the salt marshes of the Guadiana River. It is a more strategic course than the West one.

Smartavilla's Opinion.....

Both courses are worth a visit with the West course being better for high handicappers. The only downside for us is that the surrounding Coast Esuri village remains uncompleted and therefore somewhat spoils the overall experience. Note when booking this course that Spanish time is 1 hour ahead of Portugal.
